The two most expensive auction horses from the same breeder08-03-2015 - 12:18

For Joan Andreasen from Stutteri UNO, situated on the beautiful peninsula of Djursland, Denmark, the Spring Auction was an unconditional success and an extraordinary experience as breeder as well as owner of the two most expensive horses at the auction.

Auctioneer Casper Cassøe had the pleasure of welcoming thousands of spectators Saturday afternoon at the Danish Warmblood Spring Auction presenting an attractive collection of young and promising stallions and dressage horses.

The auction was opened by the newly licensed UNO Don Olympic by Blue Hors Don Olymbrio/Del Piero which turned out to become the price highlight of the auction. The bidding went fast and did not come to an end until the young talented dressage rider Anna Zibrandtsen placed the winning bid of 700,000 DKK.

Prior to the appearance of Joan Andreasen’s second horse in the auction lot the breeder and owner was shown a lot of interest in the black stallion. A syndicate was created, and UNO Spotlight by San Amour/Donnerhall, was sold for 500,000 DKK to Stutteri EVO, Gestüt Pallerhaff in Luxemburg and Stutteri UNO, meaning that Joan Andreasen succeeded in still owning a share of her promising young stallion.

11 horses were sold for a total of 2,660,000 DKK producing an average price of 241,818 DKK.

- Next Spring Auction will be on March 19th 2016 - during the National Stallion Show 2016 in Herning, Denmark. Next Elite Foal auction will take place in Aarhus, Denmark during the Elite Mare- and Foal Show on Vilhelmsborg Saturday August 29th 2015.
