Young Horse Championship

When autumn ability test is completed, the 50 best horses in dressage and the top 40 horses in showjumping are selected for the Young Horse Championships in Herning.
The championships consist entirely of the best five-year-old horses of Danish Warmblood origin and the competition is tough.

The DWB Young Horse Championships have been the first big show for many future stars, including the World Champion for 6-year-old horses in Verden 2010, Uno Donna Unique, who started out with being Mare of the Year in 2007 and then she won the Young Horse Championships in dressage as 5-year-old, gold winner in Verden, Hønnerups Driver, Zhaplin Langholt and Quennpark's Wendy who were both bronze winner in Ermelo, Heiline's Danciera who is now as 8-year-old a shooting star at Grand Prix level, and many more.

All selected horses receive invitation to the Young Horse Championships by Mid-November.
Owners of reserve horses will be contacted by the main office if selected horses were to fall.
